Hi, I'm Mikey.
I'm a web developer in Armstrong, BC. I've been building websites for over 15 years, and for a lot of that time I've worked as a senior software engineer — building plugins, contributing to open-source projects, and solving problems for businesses of all sizes.
A few years ago I noticed something that bugged me. Local businesses in the Okanagan were paying thousands of dollars for websites they didn't need. These were over-complicated, bloated, slow sites that cost more in maintenance than they provided in real value for the customers. Often requiring backups, security checks, expensive hosting, etc. The truth is, most people don't need all that complication. A contractor or electrician doesn't need all that. You probably don't either.
So I started Good Sites. The idea is simple: build fast, clean, professional websites at a price that makes sense. No bloated platforms. No unnecessary complexity. No $5,000 invoices for five pages.
A few things that might matter to you.
I've built plugins used by thousands of sites.
I've developed and maintained WordPress plugins that real businesses depend on every day.
I've spoken at WordCamps.
WordCamp is the big WordPress conference. I've been invited to speak about web development to rooms full of other developers.
I'm a senior software engineer.
This is my day job. I write real code — not just drag-and-drop page builders. When something needs to work a specific way, I make it work.
But honestly, none of that matters if your website doesn't help your business. That's what I actually care about — building you something that looks great, loads fast, shows up when people Google what you do, and doesn't give you headaches. If that sounds good, let's talk.
